Our schools are in crisis as teachers are at breaking point in dealing with misbehaving children!

Not wanting to fall pry to the cliché that today’s’ children behave so much worse than the children of the past, unwanted behaviour that disrupts teaching has become a prevailing daily problem in schools.

As an experienced teacher, I have from time to time felt totally disheartened by the disruption caused by children who fail to behave appropriately and cause so much disruption that even the best prepared lesson fails and the other children in the class miss out on learning possibility.

Last year my nemesis was a small boy in year 6. He bluntly refused to do any work and instead constantly caused havoc. He never followed rules and kept on talking about what other people have done while the teacher speaks. He is the first child that told me I was interrupting him!!!!! When I persisted that he needed to work he told me to p**off. No discipline methods worked for him. The school was preparing for him to go to the special behaviour school, when he was expelled because he had brought a knife to school. Now he is another schools problem. When he left the school his class was 6 months behind the other year 6 classes.

He may be one of the extreme examples, but there are many, many more children who simply do not behave conducive to a learning environment. As this negative behaviour is causing so many problems for so many people, I have tackled the bull by the horns and am now presenting workshops at schools to guide children take responsibility for their own behaviour.

The title of the workshop is Thoughts.

Change your thoughts and you change your life.

Children learn thoughts and self-talk are energy and create reality. Negative attracts negative, meaning when you constantly think negative thoughts such as disapproval, critical and mean thoughts about others, the Law of Attraction brings these thoughts back to you, like a boomerang effect. These thoughts create a reality of bullying and unloving behaviour.

To stop behaviour, like bullying, the thoughts that create this particular reality, has to be changed to loving, compassionate and understanding thoughts.

The above is demonstrated with interactive ‘experiments’. The children learn to accept responsibility for their own behaviour, identify their own predominant negative thought, change it to positive and are then encouraged to be this change.
